Over the past 60 years or so, our human civilization moved dramatically from the plain data era of the 50''s/60's and hence the term "data processing" to the era of "information" and "information technology" where raw data is processed into information that the human mind feels easy with.
Then, we had another jump into the era of "knowledge" as in "knowledge management" where we move into the concept of knowledge building, sharing and transfer across individuals, organizations and nations. Knowledge uses information but it is higher-level and more advanced than just pure information/data processing.
Moving up the ladder all the way, we will reach the ultimate state of wisdom where it is more than just data, information and/or knowledge that counts. Wisdom is more about real-life experience, maturity, comprehensiveness, and far stretched visions of the future. It s also about balance and compromise between conflicting things in life !
What's more !! Let us think !
